Top Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps on iOS in Qatar - Q3 2022

In the third quarter of 2022, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on the iOS platform in Qatar exhibited diverse trends in downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance, with data sourced from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride saw a steady download rate throughout the quarter, peaking at around 2.2K weekly downloads at the end of June and again in late August. However, downloads dipped to approximately 1.6K by mid-September. The app maintained a relatively stable user base, with weekly active users fluctuating between 27.8K and 30.3K, showing a slight decline towards the end of the quarter.

Careem – rides, food & more experienced a gradual decrease in downloads, starting at nearly 1K at the beginning of July and falling to around 560 by mid-September. Despite this, the app's active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 12K throughout the quarter, with a slight dip to approximately 11.5K in mid-September.

Bolt: Request a Ride had a modest download performance, with numbers peaking at around 600 in early July and dropping to about 184 by the end of September. Active users for Bolt showed a slight increase initially, peaking at 1.4K in mid-July, but gradually decreased to around 1K by the end of the quarter.

inDrive. Save on city rides showed a consistent download trend, starting at 354 in late June and maintaining around 200 weekly downloads towards the end of September. Active users for inDrive exhibited a gradual increase, starting at approximately 1.9K at the end of June and reaching around 2.4K by the close of the quarter.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had relatively low download numbers compared to its peers, with the highest being 207 in late June. The app's weekly active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 1.3K in late June and ending at around 1.2K by the end of September.
